Immersive carnival to kick off in Xiamen

The Zcon carnival that integrates trendy play, music, anime, games, fashion, cultural creativity, leisure and entertainment will be staged at the Xiamen International Expo Center in Fujian's Xiamen city during Dec 15-17.

The carnival was a joint effort by the China Culture and Entertainment Industry Association and the Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd.

The carnival aims to create diversified consumer scenarios to meet young people's needs for personalized and high-quality lifestyles, according to the organizers.

The festival will cover an area of 80,000 square meters.

Kong Ming, secretary-general of the China Cultural and Entertainment Industry Association says, "Currently, Xiamen is actively building a world-class tourism and leisure city."

The carnival will connect nighttime cultural activities, electronic music entertainment, and other consumption hot spots to promote high-quality development in Xiamen's nighttime economy, including tourism, entertainment, dining, and shopping scenes, Kong says.
