Chinese tech company 51World will step up push to tap into the opportunities of digital twin, after its simulation platform supported three major fields, autonomous driving, transportation and water conservancy.

A digital twin is a real-time virtual representation of a real-world physical system or process that serves as the indistinguishable digital counterpart of it for practical purposes, such as system simulation, integration, testing, monitoring and maintenance.

Li Yi, founder and CEO of 51World, said: "Over the course of 8 years, 51World has honed our product technology and commercial closed-loop capabilities in the fields of people and buildings, vehicles and roads, and water and cities."

According to him, the company aims to create a complete virtual world by 2030.

Li said that there are three major challenges in the digital twin industry: the lack of data standards, high costs and application value. More efforts are needed in three aspects, namely, simulation, platform, and AI-generated content.

The company unveiled a new generation of simulation application platform, which has five features such as real-time simulation, AI large model application and cloud collaboration.

According to him, 51World's simulation platform has delved into the three major fields of autonomous driving, transportation and water conservancy, helping upstream and downstream ecological partners in the industry to cope with emerging testing, operation and management challenges.

For instance, 51World said it has accumulated nearly a hundred cooperative customers in the intelligent driving industry, providing them with simulation services with higher safety, lower costs and faster efficiency.
