Children informed about the wonders of the weather

Children were enthusiastically expressing their curiosity about the climate during a meteorological science event at the Dafengche Kindergarten in early August.

They were informed how showers and typhoons are formed and ways to deal with them at the school in Yuanzhuang street, Guanxian county, Liaocheng city, Shandong province.

The event was organized by the local authority to further deepen children's understanding of the weather and experience the wonders of nature, thereby igniting their interest in exploring science.

"The purpose of the event in the school is to raise children's awareness about meteorology and environmental protection, and enhance their self-protection abilities," says Xu Weiping, a volunteer with the event.

"In the future, we will continue to use various forms and channels to promote meteorological science, making more members of the public pay attention to ecological environmental protection," Xu says.
