The summer camp for overseas Chinese youth to visit the ceramic capital of China came to a successful conclusion, amid fun and learning, on July 25 in Huangyao, Jingdezhen, East China’s Jiangxi province.

During the six-day event, the overseas Chinese teenage students learned about Jingdezhen's ceramic culture by visiting the China Ceramic Museum, witnessing a kiln-opening ceremony, and exploring porcelain making in Jingdezhen. They also experienced the art of tea-making, and actively participated in the production of porcelain.

Lin Zhitong, Wu Linlin, and Lin Zibin, the initiators of the summer camp, spoke at the opening ceremony, stating that Chinese traditional culture, as the root of the Chinese nation, carries the national spirit and values. The event was launched to call on more peers to understand the achievements of famous kilns of all eras and continue the essence of the millennium kiln fire by visiting Jingdezhen. In addition, traveling with young people from different places can deepen friendship through communication and learning and practicing together, and striving to be the inheritors of traditional culture.
