The Heilongjiang Hadong Yanjiang Wetlands is located on the southern bank of the Songhua River in Daowai district, Harbin city of Heilongjiang province. Spanning a total area of 7,936.5 hectares, it represents a classic example of an inland wetland ecosystem, featuring river wetlands, marshes, and marshy meadows.
During the spring and autumn migration seasons, an impressive number of over 20,000 waterbirds find refuge in this wetland. Notably, endangered and rare bird species such as the Oriental stork (Ciconia boyciana) and red-crowned crane (Grus japonensis) are among the remarkable avian inhabitants of this area.
