A marathon amid shower of rose petals

On the morning of May 21, to the sound of gun being fired, 150 kilograms of rose petals rained down from the sky. It was a magical sight as more than 10,000 female runners, hailing from Kenya, Ethiopia, and 26 provinces and cities across the country, embarked on a marathon run through Mile city in Honghe Hani and Yi autonomous prefecture, Yunnan province.
