From January to December 2022, the national fixed assets investment (excluding rural households) was 57,213.8 billion yuan, an increase of 5.1 percent over the previous year.
Among them, private fixed assets investment was 31,014.5 billion yuan, an increase of 0.9 percent over the previous year. From a month-on-month comparison, fixed asset investment (excluding rural households) increased by 0.49 percent in December.
From the perspective of industries, the investment in the primary industry was 1429.3 billion yuan, an increase of 0.2 percent over the previous year; the investment in the secondary industry was 18,400.4 billion yuan, up 10.3 percent; the investment in the tertiary industry was 37,384.2 billion yuan, up 3.0 percent.
In the secondary industry, industrial investment increased by 10.3 percent over the previous year. Among them, investment in mining industry increased by 4.5 percent, investment in manufacturing industry increased by 9.1 percent, and investment in power, heat, gas and water production and supply increased by 19.3 percent.
In the tertiary industry, infrastructure investment (excluding power, heat, gas and water production and supply industries) increased by 9.4 percent over the previous year.
Among them, the investment in water conservancy management increased by 13.6 percent, the investment in public facilities management increased by 10.1 percent, the investment in road transportation increased by 3.7 percent, and the investment in railway transportation increased by 1.8 percent.
In terms of regions, the investment in the eastern region increased by 3.6 percent over the previous year, the investment in the central region increased by 8.9 percent, the investment in the western region increased by 4.7 percent, and the investment in the northeast region increased by 1.2 percent.
According to the types of registration, the fixed asset investment of domestic enterprises increased by 5.5 percent over the previous year, that of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan enterprises increased by 0.2 percent, and that of foreign enterprises decreased by 4.7 percent.
