The Hebosuo site in Shangsuan town, Jinning district, Kunming city, Yunnan province, discovered in the 1950s, was confirmed as the core settlement zone of the Bronze Age Dian culture in 2008. From 2021 to 2022, archaeological accumulation dating back to the Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220) was discovered at the site. Apart from more than 2,000 pieces of bronze ware, iron ware, jade ware, stone ware and bone ware, the biggest breakthrough was in the discovery of numerous sealing clay, bamboo or wooden slips, and road and architecture relics. They provide archaeological evidence for the appearance of a united multiethnic country at that time.
