Trenches discovered around Shang Dynasty royal mausoleum at Yinxu site

While conducting research at the Yinxu site in Anyang, Henan province, archaeologists launched new excavations from 2021 to 2022 and found two trenches around the Shang Dynasty (c.16th century-11th century BC) royal mausoleum. The finds have updated the layout of the Shang Dynasty royal mausoleum, playing an important role in promoting research on the tomb system, culture and history of that period.
