Peking University Press just released a book by Wang Zhongxu, a researcher at the Palace Museum. It features Buddhist paintings dating back to the Song (960-1279), Yuan (1271-1368), Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, which have been less explored by academics.

The book discusses the characteristics, implications, and value of Buddhist paintings between the 10th and the 19th century, exploring the mutual influence and inspiration between Buddhist paintings of different materials, such as scroll paintings, murals, and prints, during this period.
