Here is a Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) plate with a flower-shaped brim. Sixteen flower, bird, rock and bamboo patterns decorate the inside of the plate. Four geometrical patterns in the center surround a white rabbit.
Judging from its color and craftsmanship, the plate was likely made during the Tianqi reign (1621-1627), although it bears the Chenghua reign (1465-1487) mark deceptively. It is in the permanent collection of the Palace Museum.
