Lantern decorations create festive atmosphere in Guangyuan

With Chinese New Year just around the corner, Guangyuan, Sichuan province, has donned a festive look, dressed in hundreds of lanterns.

When night falls, the whole city is illuminated by colorful lights. People stop to take in the magical sight, some taking pictures of various lanterns under the brand-new street lamps, in the squares, and on the branches of roadside trees.

Children chased each other around the festive display, with the changing lights drawing a new image of the city.
