On Dec 7, 3,767 patients were released from hospital after being cured (95 imported cases; 3,672 indigenous cases, 1,428 in Guangdong province, 501 in Beijing municipality, 299 in Chongqing municipality, 228 in Henan province, 213 in Shanxi province, 186 in Sichuan province, 176 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 173 in Heilongjiang province, 66 in Zhejiang province, 63 in Shandong province, 62 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 39 in Liaoning province, 39 in Fujian province, 28 in Yunnan province, 24 in Shanghai municipality, 22 in Shaanxi province, 19 in Hebei province, 17 in Anhui province, 17 in Guizhou province, 14 in Hubei province, 13 in Jiangsu province, 9 in Qinghai province, 8 in Jilin province, 7 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 6 in Hunan province, 6 in Tibet autonomous region, 4 in Hainan province, 2 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Jiangxi province and 1 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region). 306,770 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. As of 24:00 on Dec 7, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 27,996 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 27,454 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 542 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Dec 7, the National Health Commission had received reports of 354,017 confirmed cases and 5,235 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 305,516 (increased by 1 in Guangdong province after verification) patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 43,266 (decreased by 1 in Guangdong province after verification) confirmed cases (including 138 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 14,652,740 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 1,711,455 were still under medical observation.

As of 24:00 on Dec 7, 8,881,303 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 468,264 in Hong Kong (10,864 had died and 101,251 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 839 in Macao (6 had died and 791 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 8,412,200 in Taiwan (14,548 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
