On Dec 1, 2,877 patients were released from hospital after being cured (85 imported cases; 2,792 indigenous cases, 1,326 in Guangdong province, 310 in Beijing municipality, 186 in Chongqing municipality, 175 in Shanxi province, 166 in Hebei province, 127 in Sichuan province, 84 in Henan province, 77 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 60 in Jiangsu province, 40 in Yunnan province, 36 in Heilongjiang province, 26 in Zhejiang province, 21 in Fujian province, 21 in Shandong province, 20 in Guizhou province, 19 in Shaanxi province, 15 in Hunan province, 15 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 12 in Qinghai province, 10 in Liaoning province, 9 in Shanghai municipality, 8 in Gansu province, 7 in Hainan province, 6 in Jiangxi province, 5 Jilin province, 4 in Hubei province, 3 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and 2 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region). 253,944 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. As of 24:00 on Dec 1, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 27,661 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 26,925 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 736 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Dec 1, the National Health Commission had received reports of 327,964 confirmed cases and 5,233 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 283,983 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 38,748 confirmed cases (including 98 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 13,273,513 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 2,076,029 were still under medical observation.

As of 24:00 on Dec 1, 8,790,364 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 460,548 in Hong Kong (10,762 had died and 99,432 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 808 in Macao (6 had died and 791 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 8,329,008 in Taiwan (14,387 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
