The New Shiwan Art Museum in Foshan, Guangdong province, launched an exhibit of Shiwan ceramic sculptures – a national intangible cultural heritage item of China, on Nov 18. Nearly 30 Shiwan ceramic sculptures dating from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) to the 1990s are on display. Various figures are vividly depicted through this traditional craft.
