Dengfeng Kiln was found in Quhe town, Dengfeng, Henan province, the ruins of which were discovered in 1961.

Here is a Dengfeng vase with white-glazed coating and tiger patterns engraved on a pearl-pattern ground. Dating to the Song Dynasty (960-1279), it is olive-shaped and boasts smooth lines, vivid decor and harmonious colors.

This representative Dengfeng ware vase is a treasure in the permanent collection of the Palace Museum and one of several works that are forbidden to be exhibited abroad.
