Groups of macaques recently left their forest habitat to bask in the winter sunshine at Wulingyuan Scenic Spot in Zhangjiajie, Hunan province. They took a rest, found food or played with each other.

The attraction is known for its karst landscapes, springs, gorges, lakes, streams, and sandstone. Zhangjiajie hosted the first Tourism Development Conference of Hunan Province on Nov 19 and Nov 20, discussing the balance between pandemic control and development of the culture and tourism industry.
