On Nov 18, 905 patients were released from hospital after being cured (51 imported cases; 854 indigenous cases, 476 in Guangdong province, 109 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 59 in Chongqing municipality, 59 in Sichuan province, 45 in Beijing municipality, 15 in Fujian province, 14 in Hunan province, 13 in Shandong province, 13 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 9 in Shanxi province, 6 in Heilongjiang province, 6 in Anhui province, 5 in Jiangsu province, 5 in Qinghai province, 4 in Yunnan province, 3 in Guizhou province, 3 in Tibet autonomous region, 2 in Liaoning province, 2 in Shaanxi province, 2 in Gansu province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Hebei province, 1 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Henan province). 122,159 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases increased by 26.

As of 24:00 on Nov 18, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 26,773 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 26,166 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 607 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Nov 18, the National Health Commission had received reports of 283,930 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 258,995 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 19,709 confirmed cases (including 87 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 9,826,681 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 1,046,871 were still under medical observation.

On Nov 18, 3,845 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (118 imported cases; 3,727 indigenous cases, 1,190 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 576 in Guangdong province, 445 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 222 in Heilongjiang province, 183 in Hebei province, 133 in Shanxi province, 133 in Chongqing municipality, 95 in Gansu province, 91 in Shandong province, 85 in Hubei province, 84 in Sichuan province, 75 in Fujian province, 74 in Qinghai province, 65 in Yunnan province, 60 in Henan province, 41 in Beijing municipality, 28 in Tianjin municipality, 28 in Anhui province, 25 in Hunan province, 24 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, 15 in Shaanxi province, 12 in Liaoning province, 11 in Tibet autonomous region, 10 in Jiangsu province, 9 in Jilin province, 4 in Zhejiang province, 4 in Jiangxi province, 3 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and 2 in Guizhou province). 852 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 7 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Nov 18, 173,036 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 988 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Nov 18, 8,579,026 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 448,000 in Hong Kong (10,577 had died and 95,637 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 795 in Macao (6 had died and 789 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 8,130,231 in Taiwan (13,848 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
