Deeply in Love, the second exhibition of Ziqing Yimu of the year, moves away from his work with oil painting. Rather it shows dozens of sculptures and installations to present his diverse exploration with the themes of space and concept and his take on the meaning of love in pandemic. While he uses materials, such as nails and needles, that often suggest pain, wounds and suffering. He expresses the bitterness and fragility of lives, by which he addresses the importance of love and hope, especially in a time of difficulties and isolation.
Curated by Zhu Qi, the exhibition is being held at the Yidian art space of 3818 Warehouse, in Beijing's 798 art zone, running through Dec 4.
