Kia's 5th-generation Sportage hits market

Kia launched its 5th-generation Sportage SUV on Thursday, as the first model of its New Kia strategy in China.
The model is available in seven variants, priced from 179,800 yuan to 237,800 yuan.
The Sportage is built based on Kia's i-GMP platform. It has a segment-leading wheelbase of 2,755 mm.
It has three powertrain options. Of them, the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and the 8-speed automatic transmission generates a maximum output of 236 Ps and a top torque of 353 Nm.
Other engine options include the 2.0-liter engine and the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine.
The model also has 10 driving-assist functions, which come standard across the variants. It also capable of update over the air as well as voice command.
The 1st-generation Sportage hit the market in 1993. Since then its total deliveries have reached 3.6 million units across the globe.
