On Nov 2, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 581 new cases of confirmed infections (50 imported cases, 20 in Fujian province, 12 in Guangdong province, 6 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 2 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Jiangsu province, 2 in Yunnan province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Henan province and 1 in Sichuan province, including 5 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 2 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Henan province; 531 indigenous cases, 192 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 103 in Guangdong province, 52 in Fujian province, 35 in Henan province, 28 in Beijing municipality, 28 in Shanxi province, 25 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 17 in Shaanxi province, 10 in Chongqing municipality, 9 in Sichuan province, 6 in Heilongjiang province, 6 in Shandong province, 5 in Hunan province, 4 in Jiangsu province, 4 in Yunnan province, 3 in Qinghai province, 2 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, 1 in Tianjin municipality and 1 in Shanghai municipality, including 87 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 37 in Fujian province, 34 in Guangdong province, 5 in Beijing municipality, 4 in Shanxi province, 2 in Chongqing municipality, 2 in Sichuan province, 2 in Shaanxi province and 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region), no deaths, and no new cases of suspected infections.

On Nov 2, 271 patients were released from hospital after being cured (57 imported cases; 214 indigenous cases, 40 in Tibet autonomous region, 36 in Guangdong province, 29 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 20 in Shaanxi province, 18 in Beijing municipality, 17 in Shanxi province, 10 in Sichuan province, 7 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 5 in Hunan province, 5 in Chongqing municipality, 4 in Jiangsu province, 3 in Zhejiang province, 3 in Anhui province, 3 in Yunnan province, 2 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Fujian province, 2 in Guizhou province, 1 in Shandong province, 1 in Henan province, 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 1 in Gansu province, 1 in Qinghai province and 1 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region). 63,178 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases decreased by 1.

As of 24:00 on Nov 2, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 25,895 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 25,372 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 523 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Nov 2, the National Health Commission had received reports of 261,552 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 251,162 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 5,164 confirmed cases (including 27 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 7,998,739 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 650,490 were still under medical observation.

On Nov 2, 917 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (127 imported cases; 790 indigenous cases, 263 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, 103 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 71 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 58 in Guangdong province, 44 in Shaanxi province, 30 in Shandong province, 29 in Hubei province, 27 in Sichuan province, 22 in Tianjin municipality, 18 in Shanghai municipality, 16 in Shanxi province, 16 in Jiangsu province, 12 in Anhui province, 12 in Chongqing municipality, 9 in Hunan province, 9 in Yunnan province, 8 in Jilin province, 8 in Henan province, 8 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 7 in Heilongjiang province, 5 in Tibet autonomous region, 4 in Hebei province, 4 in Guizhou province, 2 in Jiangxi province, 2 in Gansu province, 1 in Liaoning province, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Qinghai province). 92 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 5 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Nov 2, 23,516 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 1,093 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Nov 2, 8,217,278 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 436,358 in Hong Kong (10,418 had died and 91,935 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 795 in Macao (6 had died and 787 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 7,780,125 in Taiwan (12,929 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
