On Oct 27, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 262 new cases of confirmed infections (48 imported cases, 13 in Fujian province, 11 in Guangdong province, 7 in Sichuan province, 5 in Beijing municipality, 4 in Shanghai municipality, 4 in Yunnan province, 2 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Tianjin municipality and 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, including 1 confirmed case converting from an asymptomatic case in Sichuan province; 214 indigenous cases, 37 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 27 in Guangdong province, 26 in Shanxi province, 24 in Hunan province, 15 in Sichuan province, 13 in Fujian province, 13 in Shaanxi province, 12 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 10 in Jiangsu province, 6 in Beijing municipality, 6 in Chongqing municipality, 6 in Qinghai province, 5 in Heilongjiang province, 4 in Henan province, 2 in Anhui province, 2 in Shandong province, 2 in Yunnan province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Hebei province, 1 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Tibet autonomous region, including 16 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 5 in Shaanxi province, 3 in Sichuan province, 2 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Fujian province, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Qinghai province), no deaths, and no new cases of suspected infections.

On Oct 27, 270 patients were released from hospital after being cured (59 imported cases; 211 indigenous cases, 36 in Guangdong province, 35 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 30 in Shanxi province, 17 in Chongqing municipality, 15 in Beijing municipality, 15 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 12 in Yunnan province, 11 in Sichuan province, 7 in Henan province, 6 in Jiangsu province, 6 in Shaanxi province, 4 in Zhejiang province, 4 in Shandong province, 3 in Heilongjiang province, 2 in Anhui province, 2 in Fujian province, 2 in Guizhou province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Liaoning province, 1 in Shanghai municipality and 1 in Hunan province). 62,471 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases decreased by 1.

As of 24:00 on Oct 27, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 25,597 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 25,046 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 551 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Oct 27, the National Health Commission had received reports of 258,660 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 249,776 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 3,658 confirmed cases (including 17 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 7,498,237 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 489,417 were still under medical observation.

On Oct 27, 882 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (117 imported cases; 765 indigenous cases, 276 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 89 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 46 in Hubei province, 35 in Yunnan province, 33 in Gansu province, 30 in Shanxi province, 30 in Guangdong province, 28 in Shanghai municipality, 27 in Shaanxi province, 22 in Sichuan province, 19 in Heilongjiang province, 15 in Tianjin municipality, 15 in Hebei province, 15 in Anhui province, 15 in Shandong province, 15 in Chongqing municipality, 10 in Jiangsu province, 10 in Henan province, 7 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 7 in Guizhou province, 6 in Jilin province, 5 in Liaoning province, 5 in Hunan province, 4 in Tibet autonomous region and 1 in Zhejiang province). 17 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 1 imported case). As of 24:00 on Oct 27, 15,902 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 1,085 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Oct 27, 8,024,521 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 432,187 in Hong Kong (10,358 had died and 90,642 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 793 in Macao (6 had died and 787 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 7,591,541 in Taiwan (12,563 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
