SAIC Maxus expands its van family with two models

Chinese carmaker SAIC Maxus launched the EV80 Plus and the V90 Camping version on Tuesday, further expanding its van portfolio.

The EV 80 Plus is priced from 164,800 yuan and the V90, priced from 202,900 yuan.

The EV80 Plus generates a maximum output of 120 kW and a top torque of 280 Nm. It has a driving range of 300 km. It measures 1,700 cm in height, with its inner space reaching nearly 7.8 cubic meters.

In terms of new technologies, it features a 10-inch touchscreen display and is capable of voice recognition and phone connection.

The V90 Camping version sports a 2.0-liter diesel engine, which generates an output of 150 Ps and a top torque of 375 Nm. There are manual and automatic transmissions to choose.

It boasts front and rear radar detectors as well as driving-assist functions. Onboard WeChat is available as well.

SAIC is one of the leading van producers in China. Its van sales totaled 53,667 in the first three quarters this year. Its van models are available in 73 countries and regions in the world, with the cumulative deliveries reaching 350,000 units.
