Jetta showcases SUVs at Chengdu auto show

FAW-Volkswagen's Jetta brand showed its new SUV range at the Chengdu auto show.
The Jetta VS7 is designed for the young generation and its three new body colors of blue, green and gray were highlighted at the show.
Since Jetta became a standalone brand in 2019, it has sold 460,000 units, becoming a fast-growing brand among new cars.
On the first day of the show, Jetta announced the brand will reach annual sales of 500,000 units by 2027.
Jetta General Manager Rasmus Wiedmann said it will offer three new internal combustion engine models and two electric ones in the future to meet customer demands.
At the event, it also announced that Jetta models will be the official car of the 2022 World Team Table Tennis Championships, which are to be held from Sept 30 to Oct 9 in Chengdu. Former table tennis world champion Ding Ning attended the event and played table tennis with guests.
