GWM's Tank unveil NEV models at Chengdu auto show

Great Wall Motors' Tank unveiled two NEV models at the Chengdu auto show, kicking off the marque's journey towards electrification.

The Tank 300 HEV sports a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and nine-speed transmission, generating a maximum output of 224 kW and a top torque of 640 Nm.

The Tank 500 PHEV features a 19.94 kWh battery pack, 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and a nine-speed transmission.

Combined, they generate a maximum output of 300 kW and a top torque of 750 Nm.

Its fuel consumption stands at 4.4 liters per 100 km, and its driving range could reach 736 kW.

Tank said it will start presales of the two models within this year, and it will launch 3.0-liter plug-in hybrid models as well.

Tank is one of the most popular off-roader brands in China. The one-year old marque has delivered over 150,000 vehicles.

By August, it has built a network of over 100 dealerships.
