GWM's Poer unveils performance pickup at Chengdu auto show

Poer, the pickup marque of Great Wall Motors, launch China's first large-sized high-end performance pickup at the Chengdu auto show.

The model, called Shanhai Poer, features a 3.0-liter turbocharged engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The carmaker said powertrains available also include the 2.4-liter turbocharged engine powered by diesel and the 2.0-liter turbocharged hybrid version powered by gasoline.

One day ahead of the auto show, Poer opened its first showroom for high-end pickups, called Poer Space, in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province.

Established in 2019, Poer is one of the most successful pickup marques in China. It has sold over 300,000 vehicles so far.

Its vehicles are not only available in China but also some 50 countries around the world, said the company.
