Dongfeng Citroen's Beyond SUV hits market

Dongfeng Citroen launched the compact Beyond SUV on Tuesday, which features a more fashionable and sporty design.

Available in three variants, the SUV is priced from 152,700 yuan to 231,700 yuan.

The model is a the facelift of the C5 Aircross, with updates made to improve its appeal to the customers.

Among other things, its center console has been simplified to offer an air of modern technology. The latest C-Connect 3.0 Beyond system is featured in the model.

In terms of performance, the Beyond has three powertrain options.

The 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that generates a maximum output of 129 kW and a top torque of 250 Nm, the 1.8-liter turbocharged engine that delivers 155 kW of output and 300 Nm of torque.

The plug-in hybrid system that consists of a 1.6 liter engine and an electric motor has a maximum output of 221 kW and a top torque of 520 Nm.
