FAW's Hongqi launches all-new H5 sedan

FAW's premium brand Hongqi launched the H5 sedan on Tuesday, marking the start of the second phase of the marque's development.

The model, available in seven variants, is priced from 159,800 yuan to 225,800 yuan. There are three powertrain options, including the hybrid system.

The 1.5-liter turbocharged engine produces a maximum output of 124 kW and a top torque of 258 Nm. The 2.0-liter one's output reaches 165 kW and the top torque hits 340 Nm.

The H5 shares a design language with Hongqi's flagship H9. It measures 4,988 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width and 1,470 mm in height, with its wheelbase reaching 2,920 mm.

Inside the cabin, the model features a 1.26-inch console display powered by Hongqi's self-developed connectivity system. Onboard WiFi and 5G are available as well.

Other features include navigation, automatic parking as well as remote control and voice recognition.
