June 30: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 33 new cases of confirmed infections (25 imported cases, 10 in Shanghai municipality, 7 in Fujian province, 2 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Shaanxi province, 1 in Anhui province, 1 in Guangdong province, 1 in Chongqing municipality and 1 in Sichuan province, including 2 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 1 in Guangdong province and 1 in Chongqing municipality; 8 indigenous cases, 5 in Jiangsu province, 2 in Guangdong province and 1 in Beijing municipality, including 1 confirmed case converting from an asymptomatic case in Guangdong province), no deaths, and no new cases of suspected infections.

On June 29, 65 patients were released from hospital after being cured (32 imported cases; 33 indigenous cases, 12 in Shanghai municipality, 11 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region and 10 in Beijing municipality). 11,594 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained the same.

As of 24:00 on June 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 19,366 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 19,068 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 298 confirmed cases (no serious cases) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on June 29, the National Health Commission had received reports of 225,638 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 219,980 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 432 confirmed cases (including 1 case in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 4,264,359 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 80,138 were still under medical observation.

On June 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 77 new asymptomatic cases (46 imported cases; 31 indigenous cases, 13 in Anhui province, 9 in Jiangsu province, 7 in Liaoning province and 2 in Guangdong province).

On June 29, 112 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (60 imported cases; 52 indigenous cases, 20 in Beijing municipality, 14 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 14 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Liaoning province, 1 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Yunnan province). 3 asymptomatic case became confirmed cases (including 2 imported cases). As of 24:00 on June 29, 832 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 467 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on June 29, 4,066,253 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 337,685 in Hong Kong (9,399 had died and 63,877 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 205 in Macao (83 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 3,728,363 in Taiwan (6,533 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
