June 27: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 39 new cases of confirmed infections (34 imported cases, 6 in Shanghai municipality, 6 in Shaanxi province, 5 in Tianjin municipality, 4 in Fujian province, 4 in Guangdong province, 3 in Chongqing municipality, 2 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Hubei province, 1 in Sichuan province and 1 in Yunnan province, including 7 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 4 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Fujian province; 5 indigenous cases, 3 in Beijing municipality and 2 in Shanghai municipality), no deaths, and no new cases of suspected infections.

On June 26, 77 patients were released from hospital after being cured (30 imported cases; 47 indigenous cases, 18 in Beijing municipality, 18 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 5 in Liaoning province, 4 in Shanghai municipality and 2 in Chongqing municipality). 10,625 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained the same.

As of 24:00 on June 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 19,305 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 18,985 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 320 confirmed cases (no serious cases) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on June 26, the National Health Commission had received reports of 225,565 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 219,791 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 548 confirmed cases (including 2 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 4,251,035 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 97,790 were still under medical observation.

On June 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 67 new asymptomatic cases (49 imported cases; 18 indigenous cases, 6 in Liaoning province, 3 in Anhui province, 3 in Guangdong province, 2 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 1 in Beijing municipality and 1 in Yunnan province).

On June 26, 145 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (72 imported cases; 73 indigenous cases, 20 in Shanghai municipality, 14 in Jilin province, 12 in Beijing municipality, 12 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 10 in Liaoning province, 2 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 1 in Fujian province, 1 in Jiangxi province and 1 in Sichuan province). 7 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (all were imported cases). As of 24:00 on June 26, 919 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 481 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on June 26, 3,950,153 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 336,658 in Hong Kong (9,398 had died and 63,682 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 150 in Macao (83 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 3,613,345 in Taiwan (6,254 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
