June 12: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 11, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 134 new cases of confirmed infections (12 imported cases, 6 in Fujian province, 3 in Guangdong province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Shanghai municipality and 1 in Hunan province, including 2 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 1 in Tianjin municipality and 1 in Guangdong province; 122 indigenous cases, 78 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 34 in Beijing municipality and 10 in Shanghai municipality, including 52 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 51 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region and 1 in Beijing municipality), no deaths, and no new cases of suspected infections.

On June 11, 57 patients were released from hospital after being cured (10 imported cases; 47 indigenous cases, 26 in Shanghai municipality, 15 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Jilin province, 1 in Shandong province, 1 in Henan province, 1 in Guangdong province and 1 in Sichuan province). 5,109 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases decreased by 3.

As of 24:00 on June 11, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 18,875 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 18,682 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 193 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on June 11, the National Health Commission had received reports of 224,793 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 218,704 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 863 confirmed cases (including 21 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 4,162,421 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 112,094 were still under medical observation.

On June 11, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 141 new asymptomatic cases (67 imported cases; 74 indigenous cases, 31 in Beijing municipality, 19 in Shanghai municipality, 8 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 5 in Liaoning province, 4 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 3 in Yunnan province, 1 in Hebei province, 1 in Jilin province, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Chongqing municipality).

On June 11, 329 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (71 imported cases; 258 indigenous cases, 183 in Shanghai municipality, 18 in Liaoning province, 18 in Henan province, 9 in Jilin province, 9 in Sichuan province, 8 in Zhejiang province, 6 in Beijing municipality, 5 in Hebei province, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region and 1 in Guangdong province). 54 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 2 imported cases). As of 24:00 on June 11, 2,556 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 471 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on June 11, 3,175,166 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 333,387 in Hong Kong (9,390 had died and 62,810 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 83 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 2,841,696 in Taiwan (4,008 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
