June 11: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 79 new cases of confirmed infections (14 imported cases, 4 in Shanghai municipality, 4 in Fujian province, 3 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Guangdong province and 1 in Sichuan province, including 1 confirmed case converting from an asymptomatic case in Sichuan province; 65 indigenous cases, 36 in Beijing municipality, 19 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 7 in Shanghai municipality and 3 in Liaoning province, including 1 confirmed case converting from an asymptomatic case in Inner Mongolia autonomous region), no deaths, and 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai municipality).

On June 10, 88 patients were released from hospital after being cured (17 imported cases; 71 indigenous cases, 31 in Shanghai municipality, 27 in Beijing municipality, 9 in Sichuan province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Liaoning province, 1 in Henan province and 1 in Guangdong province). 6,296 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases decreased by 3.

As of 24:00 on June 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 18,863 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 18,672 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 191 confirmed cases (no serious cases) and 2 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on June 10, the National Health Commission had received reports of 224,659 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 218,647 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 786 confirmed cases (including 24 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases. 4,151,430 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 106,518 were still under medical observation.

On June 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 131 new asymptomatic cases (58 imported cases; 73 indigenous cases, 25 in Beijing municipality, 24 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 9 in Shanghai municipality, 6 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 3 in Liaoning province, 3 in Jilin province, 1 in Fujian province, 1 in Yunnan province and 1 in Gansu province).

On June 10, 389 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (67 imported cases; 322 indigenous cases, 248 in Shanghai municipality, 19 in Sichuan province, 17 in Zhejiang province, 11 in Jilin province, 10 in Henan province, 9 in Hebei province, 3 in Beijing municipality, 3 in Liaoning province, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region and 1 in Jiangsu province). 2 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 1 imported case). As of 24:00 on June 10, 2,798 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 477 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on June 10, 3,095,410 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 333,247 in Hong Kong (9,390 had died and 62,751 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 83 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 2,762,080 in Taiwan (3,797 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
