During Dragon Boat Festival, or Duanwu Festival, people honor Qu Yuan, a ministerial scholar and patriotic poet of the State of Chu during the Warring States period (475-221 BC).
The grand performance China in the Songs of Chu was staged in Qu Yuan’s hometown Yichang, Hubei province, on June 2, adding to the local celebration of the festival. Let’s take a look at the stage highlights here!
