Chery launches Tiggo 8 Pro SUV

Chinese carmaker Chery launched its Tiggo 8 Pro SUV on Wednesday, the latest member of its popular Tiggo 8 series.

Available in nine variants, the model is priced from 126,900 yuan to 171,900 yuan.

The model has different powertrain options, with 1.6 and 2.0-liter turbocharged engines. It has also hybrid variants, powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine as well as electric motors.

Its smart four-wheel-drive system, called Chery AWD, offers six driving modes, including sports, snow, economy as well as mud.

The model is built on the T1X platform, which has better headroom for front and rear seats, and higher ground clearance.

The Tiggo 8 Pro SUV has a number of cutting-edge functions and features, including the wide-HUD, which enables the driver to focus on the road ahead.

Its smart cabin system is capable of voice recognition as well as other human-car interactions.

The Tiggo 8 series are among one of Chery most popular models. Over 50,000 units were delivered in the first four months this year, said the carmaker.
