The Jiaozi was the world’s first paper currency. It appeared in Chengdu, Sichuan province during the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127). The Jiaozi Financial Museum, China’s first financial museum themed on the note, opened in Chengdu yesterday. Plan a visit in the future!
