On April 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 1,824 new cases of confirmed infections (6 imported cases, 2 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 2 in Sichuan province, 1 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Guangdong province, including 2 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 1 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Guangdong province; 1,818 indigenous cases, 1,606 in Shanghai municipality, 56 in Jiangxi province, 51 in Jilin province, 31 in Beijing municipality, 25 in Heilongjiang province, 16 in Zhejiang province, 8 in Jiangsu province, 7 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 6 in Shandong province, 3 in Henan province, 2 in Hunan province, 2 in Sichuan province, 1 in Hebei province, 1 in Shanxi province, 1 in Anhui province, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Chongqing municipality, including 1,308 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 1,253 in Shanghai municipality, 31 in Jilin province, 15 in Zhejiang province, 4 in Jiangsu province, 3 in Shandong province, 1 in Jiangxi province and 1 in Sichuan province), 48 deaths (all were indigenous cases in Shanghai municipality), and no new cases of suspected infections.

On April 26, 3,728 patients were released from hospital after being cured (14 imported cases; 3,714 indigenous cases, 2,639 in Shanghai municipality, 967 in Jilin province, 33 in Guangdong province, 15 in Jiangsu province, 11 in Heilongjiang province, 9 in Shandong province, 6 in Shanxi province, 4 in Zhejiang province, 4 in Fujian province, 4 in Henan province, 4 in Shaanxi province, 3 in Hainan province, 2 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Liaoning province, 2 in Sichuan province, 2 in Qinghai province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Hebei province, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Anhui province, 1 in Jiangxi province, 1 in Hunan province and 1 in Yunnan province). 51,545 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases decreased by 23.

As of 24:00 on April 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 18,141 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 17,946 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 195 confirmed cases (no serious cases) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on April 26, the National Health Commission had received reports of 207,081 confirmed cases and 4,876 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 175,431 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 26,774 confirmed cases (including 318 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 3,235,941 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 410,877 were still under medical observation.

On April 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 12,474 new asymptomatic cases (70 imported cases; 12,404 indigenous cases, 11,956 in Shanghai municipality, 102 in Liaoning province, 80 in Jilin province, 76 in Jiangsu province, 66 in Shandong province, 41 in Jiangxi province, 31 in Zhejiang province, 14 in Henan province, 13 in Hebei province, 8 in Anhui province, 7 in Heilongjiang province, 3 in Beijing municipality, 3 in Yunnan province, 2 in Hubei province and 2 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region).

On April 26, 32,054 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (62 imported cases; 31,992 indigenous cases, 30,534 in Shanghai municipality, 1,097 in Jilin province, 75 in Jiangsu province, 49 in Hebei province, 38 in Anhui province, 36 in Henan province, 28 in Shandong province, 22 in Yunnan province, 21 in Zhejiang province, 20 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 15 in Shanxi province, 14 in Liaoning province, 13 in Fujian province, 8 in Guangdong province, 7 in Heilongjiang province, 7 in Jiangxi province, 2 in Shaanxi province, 2 in Qinghai province, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Sichuan province, 1 in Gansu province and 1 in the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps). 1,310 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 2 imported cases). As of 24:00 on April 26, 225,249 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 602 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on April 26, 397,460 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 329,356 in Hong Kong (9,274 had died and 58,804 [verified revision] had been cured and discharged from hospital), 82 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 68,022 in Taiwan (856 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
