Xi'an ranks 2nd in China in tourism services

In 2021, tourists' satisfaction with Xi'an's tourism services ranked second among all cities in the country, according to a report recently released by the China Tourism Academy.

The report said that the satisfaction rate among domestic tourists in 2021 was a record 82.47, a year-on-year increase of 1.88 percent.

This is the most notable achievement in the high-quality development of the tourism economy under normalized COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control regulations.

In recent years, Xi'an has made strong efforts to create the cultural tourism brand "Qiannian Gudu, Changlai Chang'an", and launched a series of dynamic and experiential cultural tourism products.

The city has worked to standardize scenic spots, hotels, travel agencies and other industries, and promoted the application of the national tourism team service management system.

In addition, Xi'an established the first people's mediation committee for cultural and tourism disputes in Northwest China and built a one-stop mediation work system.

According to the 2022 Xi'an government work report, over the next five years the city will promote the in-depth integration of culture and tourism, continuously enrich its culture, and create a world-class tourist destination that preserves Chinese culture.

By the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25), the added value of the city's cultural tourism industry is expected to account for 18 percent of its GDP.
