The Nanshan Museum in Shenzhen unveiled yesterday an exhibit of 140 cultural relics unearthed from the underground chambers of pagodas in the Jingzhi Temple and the Jingzhong Monastery of the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127).

On view are ceramicware, Buddhist sculptures, religious articles and other items. The exhibit runs through June 5.

The archaeological sites are in Dingzhou, North China’s Hebei province. The underground chambers were discovered in the 1960s.
