An exhibit of tile-ends was unveiled yesterday at the Museum of the Western Han Dynasty Mausoleum of the Nanyue King in Guangzhou, Guangdong province. More than 100 roof tile-ends excavated from the archaeological site of the Nanyue Kingdom's palace and government office areas, dating from the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC) to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), are on view. Tile-ends showing cloud, character, beast, and lotus patterns reflect Guangzhou’s history in the imperial period.
