On March 6, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 327 new cases of confirmed infections (113 imported cases, 51 in Guangdong province, 32 in Shanghai municipality, 11 in Sichuan province, 6 in Beijing municipality, 5 in Henan province, 4 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Jilin province, 1 in Shandong province and 1 in Chongqing municipality, including 16 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 9 in Sichuan, 4 in Guangdong and 3 in Henan; 214 indigenous cases, 69 in Guangdong including 50 in Dongguan and 19 in Shenzhen, 54 in Jilin including 42 in Jilin city, 7 in Changchun and 5 in Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture, 46 in Qingdao, Shandong, 12 in Lanzhou New Area, Gansu province, 9 in Xingtai, Hebei province, 7 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region including 3 in Hohhot, 2 in Erdos, 1 in Baotou and 1 in Hulunbuir, 5 in Lianyungang, Jiangsu province, 4 in Dehong Dai and Jingpo autonomous prefecture, Yunnan province, 3 in Shanghai including 2 in Xuhui district and 1 in Pudong New Area, 2 in Wuhan, Hubei province, 1 in Taiyuan, Shanxi province, 1 in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province and 1 in Fangchenggang, Guangxi, including 3 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 2 in Jilin and 1 in Zhejiang), 4 new cases of suspected infections (all were imported cases in Shanghai), and no deaths. 181 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 7,227 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 3.

As of 24:00 on March 6, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 15,456 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 13,166 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 2,290 confirmed cases (including 2 cases in serious condition) and 13 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on March 6, the National Health Commission had received reports of 111,195 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 102,722 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 3,837 confirmed cases (including 11 cases in serious condition) and 13 suspected cases. 1,692,210 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 97,930 were still under medical observation.

On March 6, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 442 new asymptomatic cases (130 imported cases; 312 indigenous cases, 117 in Qingdao, Shandong, 104 in Guangdong including 103 in Dongguan and 1 in Huizhou, 45 in Shanghai including 12 in Jiading district, 7 in Minhang district, 7 in Songjiang district, 6 in Baoshan district, 5 in Putuo district, 2 in Xuhui district, 2 in Pudong New Area, 2 in Fengxian district, 1 in Huangpu district and 1 in Jing’an district, 18 in Dehong Dai and Jingpo autonomous prefecture, Yunnan, 12 in Jilin including 5 in Jilin city, 5 in Changchun and 2 in Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture, 10 in Guangxi including 7 in Baise, 2 in Fangchenggang and 1 in Chongzuo, 3 in Liaoning province including 2 in Shenyang and 1 in Dandong, 1 in Shijiazhuang, Hebei, 1 in Jincheng, Shanxi and 1 in Lianyungang, Jiangsu). 46 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 43 imported cases) and 19 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 16 imported cases). As of 24:00 on March 6, 2,024 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 1,148 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on March 6, 227,301 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 206,379 in Hong Kong (2,007 had died and 22,513 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 82 in Macao (79 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 20,840 in Taiwan (853 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
