Feb 11: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Feb 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 101 new cases of confirmed infections (45 imported cases, 15 in Guangdong province, 12 in Shanghai municipality, 10 in Fujian province, 3 in Zhejiang province, 2 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Shandong province and 1 in Yunnan province, including 10 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 6 in Guangdong, 2 in Zhejiang and 2 in Guangxi; 56 indigenous cases, 33 in Baise, Guangxi, 22 in Liaoning province including 21 in Huludao and 1 in Shenyang, and 1 in Tongren, Guizhou province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 105 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 3,290 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases increased by 1.

As of 24:00 on Feb 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 12,892 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 12,256 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 636 confirmed cases (including 1 case in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Feb 10, the National Health Commission had received reports of 106,764 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 100,704 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,424 confirmed cases (including 5 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 1,552,962 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 38,682 were still under medical observation.

On Feb 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 66 new asymptomatic cases (61 imported cases; 5 indigenous cases including 2 in Shenyang, Liaoning, 2 in Heihe, Heilongjiang province and 1 in Suzhou, Jiangsu province). 48 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 44 imported cases) and 10 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (all were imported cases). As of 24:00 on Feb 10, 832 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 746 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Feb 10, 35,534 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 16,079 in Hong Kong (216 had died and 13,795 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 79 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 19,376 in Taiwan (851 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
