Torch relay takes to the Great Wall

The torch relay for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games traveled to the Badaling section of the Great Wall of China in Beijing's Yanqing district on Thursday morning.

The theme of today's torch relay is "The backbone of the Chinese nation", which will demonstrate China's openness and pursuit of peace, as well as the national spirit of fighting against hegemony.

The Badaling section of the Great Wall was opened to the public in 1958 and has become one of China's must-visit tourist destinations.
