The Intercontinental Shanghai Wonderland is the world's first eco-friendly hotel built in an abandoned quarry. The entire hotel hangs virtually upside down in the giant, deep Tianma Pit. Thanks to imaginative design, waste has been turned into treasure.

The hotel is constructed by CSCEC -- China State Construction Engineering Corporation.
