On Jan 15, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 119 new cases of confirmed infections (54 imported cases, 24 in Shanghai municipality, 14 in Guangdong province, 6 in Sichuan province, 3 in Yunnan province, 2 in Liaoning province, 2 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 1 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Tianjin municipality and 1 in Fujian province, including 6 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 2 in Liaoning, 2 in Sichuan, 1 in Guangdong and 1 in Yunnan; 65 indigenous cases, 33 in Tianjin including 32 in Jinnan district and 1 in Xiqing district, 29 in Henan province including 15 in Anyang, 7 in Xuchang and 7 in Zhengzhou, 1 in Haidian district, Beijing, 1 in Zhuhai, Guangdong and 1 in Xi’an, Shaanxi province, including 6 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases in Tianjin), 9 new cases of suspected infections (all were imported cases in Shanghai), and no deaths. 109 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 2,390 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases increased by 2.

As of 24:00 on Jan 15, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 12,064 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 10,800 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,264 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 14 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Jan 15, the National Health Commission had received reports of 104,864 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 96,767 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 3,461 confirmed cases (including 13 cases in serious condition) and 14 suspected cases. 1,478,462 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 53,299 were still under medical observation.

On Jan 15, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 52 new asymptomatic cases (47 imported cases; 5 indigenous cases, 3 in Shanghai including 2 in Putuo district and 1 in Baoshan district, 1 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province and 1 in Zhongshan, Guangdong). 30 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 29 imported cases) and 12 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 6 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Jan 15, 753 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 701 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Jan 15, 30,705 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 12,857 in Hong Kong (213 had died and 12,366 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 79 in Macao (77 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 17,769 in Taiwan (851 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
