China's Southern School presents exhibit of landscape oil paintings

The southern part of China is the birthplace of the country's modern oil paintings. Do you admire the beautiful landscapes of China when you see them in paintings? These sceneries have garnered the attention of tourists as well as artists.
The Hainan Museum launched an exhibit on Wednesday, unveiling more than 100 oil paintings by about 90 renowned contemporary Chinese artists. The exhibit, which explores the development of landscape oil paintings in southern China, ends Jan 23.
