The bronze tiger-shaped tally is a treasure of Shaanxi History Museum in Northwest China. Unearthed from Xi’an city in 1973, it symbolizes the highly centralized military leadership in the State of Qin during the Warring States Period (475-221 BC).
To celebrate the upcoming Year of the Tiger, four types of cultural and creative products inspired by the tally have been released: cookies, key chains, throw pillows and fridge magnets. The lifelike articles are believed to bring good luck.
