Voyah is expected to offer models in the three categories of SUVs, MPVs and sedans in 2022, said the premium arm of State-owned Dongfeng.

The new marque unveiled the plan on Dec 31 in its New Year celebrations starring online influencer Luo Zhenyu as well as over 1,700 users.

It is the first time that so many car users have appeared on the world's largest screen in a speaking event.

Voyah said it has scaled up production thanks to the resources of parent company Dongfeng, which will enable those who place orders before Jan 10 to receive their vehicles ahead of the Spring Festival holiday.

The company has started to deliver the SUV called Free and unveiled its second model, which it said is the world's first premium electric MPV.

"We will launch at least one new model every year to expand our lineup," said the carmaker in a statement.

Voyah has built an online-offline sales method, with 64 brick-and-mortar showrooms established in 24 cities across the country. The number will rise to 105 to cover 48 cities in 2022, said the marque.

Established in 2018 and unveiled in 2020, Voyah showcased its first model in the same year, whose deliveries started in 2021. By the end of the year, its deliveries totaled 6,791 units.
