SAIC's IM delivers beta-version L7 sedan

SAIC's electric arm IM delivered 200 beta-version L7 sedans on Dec 26, marking the latest step of the premium marque's efforts to join the already fierce fray in China's new energy vehicle market.
The L7, a full-sized sedan, is the first model by IM, which is a joint venture between SAIC and China's e-commerce giant Alibaba.
SAIC said it has taken around 22 months for the model to roll out the assembly line from the project started in March 2020.
The model has a wheelbase of 3,100 mm. It measures 5,098 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width and 1,485 mm in height.
The sedan has a maximum output of 578 horsepower and a top torque of 725 Nm, which is comparable to an 8-cylinder engine.
It can accelerate from zero to 100 km per hour in 3.87 seconds and speed down from 100 km per hour to a complete stop in 32.69 meters.
The L7 sedan has a 93 kW/h battery which enables the vehicle to drive for 708 km on one single charge.
