Dec 11: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Dec 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 87 new cases of confirmed infections (36 imported cases, 15 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 7 in Shandong province, 6 in Shanghai municipality, 5 in Sichuan province, 2 in Shaanxi province and 1 in Yunnan province, including 8 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 4 in Guangxi and 4 in Sichuan; 51 indigenous cases, 35 in Zhejiang province including 17 in Shaoxing, 14 in Ningbo and 4 in Hangzhou, 15 in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia autonomous region and 1 in Dehong Dai and Jingpo autonomous prefecture, Yunnan, including 20 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases in Zhejiang), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 37 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 773 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 1.

As of 24:00 on Dec 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 10,431 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 9,938 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 493 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case.

As of 24:00 on Dec 10, the National Health Commission had received reports of 99,604 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 93,696 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,272 confirmed cases (including 28 cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case. 1,355,094 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 47,250 were still under medical observation.

On Dec 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 30 new asymptomatic cases (16 imported cases; 14 indigenous cases, 13 in Zhejiang including 7 in Shaoxing, 5 in Ningbo and 1 in Hangzhou, and 1 in Wuxi, Jiangsu province). 21 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 18 imported cases) and 28 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 8 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Dec 10, 489 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 403 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Dec 10, 29,280 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 12,482 in Hong Kong (213 had died and 12,159 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 77 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 16,721 in Taiwan (848 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
