Nov 27: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On Nov 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 25 new cases of confirmed infections (20 imported cases, 5 in Shanghai municipality, 3 in Guangdong province, 3 in Yunnan province, 2 in Shandong province, 2 in Hunan province, 2 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Liaoning province and 1 in Henan province, including 4 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 2 in Hunan, 1 in Henan and 1 in Guangxi; 5 indigenous cases, 3 in Dalian, Liaoning and 2 in Dehong Dai and Jingpo autonomous prefecture, Yunnan), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 76 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 1,858 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 1.

As of 24:00 on Nov 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 10,111 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 9,721 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 390 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Nov 26, the National Health Commission had received reports of 98,608 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 93,163 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 809 confirmed cases (including 7 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases. 1,319,872 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 30,826 were still under medical observation.

On Nov 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 15 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 21 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 13 imported cases) and 4 (imported cases) became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on Nov 26, 439 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 370 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Nov 26, 29,064 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 12,421 in Hong Kong (213 had died and 12,128 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 77 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 16,566 in Taiwan (848 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
